Thai Spoon / Asian Soop Spoon

When you travel in Asia, you'll come across an abundance of delicious fruits like papaya, mango, passion fruit, dragon fruit, and many more. Are you as crazy about fresh fruits like we are? When in Thailand or Vietnam, we also enjoy sipping on fresh coconut water from the fruit. But how do we extract the coconut meat? As we continued our travels, we realised the importance of carrying some basic cutlery in our pockets. We experimented with plastic camping cutlery and lightweight titanium, but we weren't satisfied. Plastic breaks easily, and titanium leaves a terrible taste and feel. Eventually, we came to the realisation that the inexpensive stainless steel spoons you find all over Asia are the perfect solution: compact, robust, and durable for travelling. The Asia spoon available in our shop is produced in Thailand, which is why we call it the "Thai Spoon."

Why we choose the SUN'Z Spoon

On our travels, we tried many different spoons. Zebra spoons are the best quality stainless steel spoons we could find. The SUN'Z spoons are also produced by the Zebra group. Zebra is well known in Thailand and make plenty high quality stainless steel products. The spoon with the overall best quality is the original Zebra branded spoon, however, the Zebra spoon weighs 20g while the SUN'Z is only 13.4g. We find that the SUN'Z spoon is the perfect compromise between quality and weight. Unlike very cheap and thin spoons, the SUN'Z spoon is still comfortable to handle, without feeling very thin edges. Furthermore, the spoon shape of the SUN'Z packs a bit better than the Zebra brand spoon.
